Christmas Stuff "Scrapbook"

Amidst all the traveling I mentioned earlier, we also had a rockin' Christmas with my fam-fam. (That's you Claire and other Nelsens!)

Porter was ecstatic to have us there!

Alyssa got a scooter, the much sought after gift from Santa Claus. [Back story: I mentioned to someone one day that we would probably ask Santa for a scooter for Christmas. Alyssa was sitting on my lap and was paying close attention, though I did not know it at the time. I mentioned this in like October. For the next three months we heard all about how Santa would bring her a scooter! Thankfully Santa found her in Utah.]

On Christmas Eve we had a spectacular talent show! Alyssa favored us with some sort of dance in between everybody's act and demanded we all clap when she was done. She also told us the story of the nativity using sugar cookies Erik had fashioned after the nativity scene. Jacob did a dance. Porter and I performed the "Sisters Act" from a White Christmas. Dad sang O Tannenbaum, Erik and I did "The Little Drummer Boy" piano and drum duet. Claire and Mom played "Joy to the World" and there were other silly things too! I am glad we did it! We will have to do it again!

The sugar nativity
One of Alyssa's many performances!

What studs!

It was nice to be home for Christmas, especially since our home was in two cubes. It would have been crumby to be in Delaware even if we hadn't moved yet because being in your home is no fun when it is a horrible messy packing extravaganza!

Other fun Christmas memories
