We're getting married in December!

Here are 2 of 298 engagement pictures. If you really want to look you can view more pictures at http://www.morningsunphoto.com/album/01/index.php?path=Lw==&page=9 . We had lots of fun taking them!

After much ado about nothing, we are getting married in December. Erik proposed a month ago yesterday at Glen Canyon Park in Provo Canyon. We had a picnic like we ate on our first date (though he went from picnic basket to a flat rate mail box) and had lots of fun. After dinner he asked me if there would be a second date (which I guess I asked him on our first date:) how forward of me!) I told him I wasn't quite sure. He wanted to know if there was anything he could do to change my mind. I told him to use his imagination and then he got down on one knee and proposed! He gave me a lovely ring from Sears and then we went ring shopping the next day. The best part was that I was not expecting it at all! I knew he had tried to talk to my dad, but I thought it hadn't worked out. Mom told falsehoods pretty well and I was caught off guard when he did propose. After about 10 minutes of asking if he was serious he finally asked if my answer was yes. Of course it was! It'll be fun. School is crazy on top of planning a wedding, but we are excited for December!

Erik took a little trip from Pennsylvania to DC to see the temple. He also drove from Pennsylvania to Texas where his family is now living. There are only a couple of pictures, but they are fun and cute :)

The Washington D.C. Temple. Ooo! It's pretty!

This is Erik's own rendition of the D.C. Temple. He's so fun! I love this picture.

Erik also saw the Memphis, TN Temple. We love to see the temple!

Only in Schnecksville

For the 24th of July weekend I took a small trip to Schnecksville, PA and had a grand ol' time with Erik and the fellow Archibalds. We went camping, canoeing, swimming in a sea weed filled lake with Maria. We also ate lots of food and danced. We even went out on a limb and visited Philly...though only for a few short 45 minutes. It was super fantastic!

Erik and I went to an Italian restaurant in Neffs proper and had this delicious stromboli. As you can see it is quite large and we needed the rest of the Archibalds to help us eat it.

Yum yum!!!

After we stuffed ourselves with deliciousness we went to the dairy and got ice cream. Erik is posing in front of the silos with his ice cream. He looks mischievous.

We also saw the Liberty Bell...well, sort of. We didn't have time to go inside. It was still joyous, though! :)

We took a trip to Independence Hall where our founding fathers signed the Declaration of Independence.
