Phone Books and Family

For President's Day weekend, Ben, Claire, and Porter spent the night. We played lots of fun games including hide and go seek in the dark, Boggle, and SkipBo! We also ripped phone books in half. I have a pretty muscular family!
Ben managed to rip a large phone book in half. Watch out, ladies! He's hott stuff :)
Porter took his hand at a smaller one...
Erik tackled a large one!
Claire helped out with the thick ads!
I guess Erik's desire to keep not only our phone books, but also our neighbor's phone books wasn't such a bad idea. We had fun with them for at least 20 minutes.

On Monday morning we made sugar cookies. Here is the crew before the cookies were baked! They did a wonderful job making lots of pretty shapes.
It was fun having everyone come over. We definitely will be doing it again soon in the future!

Summer Time

It may be only February, but Erik and I are starting to finalize our plans for the summer. We are going to Livermore,California to work at Livermore National Laboratory! We are excited. Erik will be working in the area of emergency management and I will be working with microfluidics. It will be a great opportunity for us to get out and explore a little bit. We are also headed to Peru in April! We have been working on with BYU Global Engineering Outreach to design water heating systems that will help improve the lives of the Peruvians! Yippee!
